Double page spread : page 2

ImageAs for my double page, I decided to change the layout slightly. As the ‘twitter takeover’ isn’t the main focus of the article, I decided to reduce the size. I also feel that the autograph at the end of the article to ensure it has conventions similar to mother magazines in the market.

ImageFor my double page, I stuck closely to my second draft however, when I printed it out, it was clear that the position of the boxes and images had to be sorted out I. Order for them to match up Which gives the magazine a more professional look.

i also decided to swap the main cover story with the ‘in every issue’ as looking at different magazines, it’s typical that the first thing read would be the main cover line. This is what interests the reader most.

Front cover – masthead

ImageUsing photoshop, I managed to pick a similar font to my previous masthead as I think it stands out due to the black and more squared letters, in contrast the the more rounded font used to show the main cover lines such as ‘Lena Hughes’ ‘Jess Foster’ and ‘Rory Lomas’

I then had to pick between the pink and white font. Know the end, I decided to go with the white as it stands out more, sand after asking a number of people from my target market, the white masthead came out on top.

Front cover and masthead

ImageAfter selecting between the pictures I had saved, I decided to choose this picture as models in the picture has a mode of address a which is appropriate as it directly makes eye contact with the potential target market. The background is also clear which makes it easier for the font to stand out without the use of boxes like my previous magazine. This gives it a more professional look. However, I then came to realise that the masthead does not suit my magazine due to the colour scheme. Since I had originally created it on photoshop, I went back to create a more suitable masthead.

Front cover

This was my first and completed front cover for my music magazine. However, when I came to export the file as a PDF, I found that the main images Original file had been deleted from the computer. As a result, I had to choose another image from my photoshoot to use as my cover image.
